SUCCESFUL INTERFERRY CONFERENCE CONCLUDES

Having been in the financial industry for over thirty (30) years, Mark Barra serves as managing director of Global Financial Consulting, L.L.C., a U.S. based but internationally focused consulting firm specializing in common sense turn around management. Mark Barra is a Sandy Hook, Connecticut-based executive who guides Global Financial Consulting LLC as the president and founder and provides solutions that enable troubled operating companies to regain efficiency and profitability. Often serving as the interim executive manager, Mark Barra coordinates with public and private entities and emphasizes approaches that utilize emerging technologies in ways that drive competitive advantages.

Among Barra’s career achievements is one in the early 2000s that involved direct negotiation with the president of the Philippines. In this instance, he arranged a $20 million funding/subsidy program that allowed several local fast-ferry operations to stay in business and meet loan obligations.

For the past seven years, Barra has also led Monster Mini Golf and Laser Tag in Bethel and Orange, Connecticut. He oversees all aspects of two family-entertainment centers and oversees facilities that feature rope courses, arcades, and event spaces.

Mark Barra earned his bachelor of science at the University of Connecticut in finance and gained early experience as a vice president of Citytrust in Danbury. In this role, he performed complex tasks such as commercial loan workouts and middle market lending.
